According to a 2007 SCRI Study, Final Cut Pro made up 49% of the US professional editing market with Avid at 22%.
From the early 2000’s Final Cut Pro developed a large and expanding user base including many independent film makers.It has made inroads with films and television editor’s who have traditionally used Avid Technology’s Media Composer.
The software logs and captures video onto a hard drive (internal or external),where it can be edited and processed. It is a module of The Final Cut Studio product. Final Cut Pro 7 will only run on Mac personal computers running Mac OS x Version. Though Final Cut Pro (FCP) will not run on a PC, it isn’t as expensive as you might think it to be. it is the software used at the editing tables of mostly all the Hollywood Movies like Avatar,Matrix,300,Pirates of the Caribbean, where the Cloning effect has been used to create a huge crowd….even English serials like CSI Miami, CSI NY, 24 etc.I have given below the list of some of the major films and serials edited on Final Cut Pro….this mind blowing software has now reached Bollywood too and it was very recently used by Shirish Kunder in the movie Om Shanti Om…where he has very deftly replaced Deepika Padukone with all the actresses of the 70’s in a particular song. Welcome to my Blog….I would like to share with you some knowledge and information about a couple of softwares which I like the most, I’m kinda impressed by these softwares and by the brain behind them….First of all let me talk about my favourite software Final Cut Pro which is a professional non-linear editing software application developed by Apple Inc….and which I plan to learn in the near future.Īs a little girl I always fancied myself in different places, especially when I watched cartoon films or Fairy Tales.like Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, Cinderella, Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, Red Riding Hood etc etc etc….I always imagined myself to be in Sleeping Beauty’s place or walking alongwith Red Riding Hood in the forest when she was going to meet her grand mother.but whenever the movie got over I had to be back in reality…I always knew that it was just a fantasy, but now all this has become possible and its no longer a dream because of the technological revolution of Final Cut Pro (FCP) which is an Editing software of Apple Inc.
